It seems to have been a long time coming, but RKS are proud to finally present Roska’s debut single of 2021, following on from an impressive run of 2 EPs, 5 singles and numerous remixes in 2020. Although we haven’t seen anything hit the shelves prior to this, Roska has been keen at work behind the scenes, assembling a catalogue of spicy new original creations, with ‘I Know’ being the first of the new batch.
As the first piece to land off his forthcom. Right from the jump we are introduced to some classic rhythmic expression, topped with grizzly horns, bouncy synthesizer pulses and warbling bass tones below. The UK funky vibe runs tightly through the heart of this one, with the wonderful Kristie Killick providing some additional vocal flavour and allowing the tune to elevate to a dancefloor-ready singalong. Over the years Roska’s sound has taken many twists and turns, but this combo of sizzling funky arrangement and classy vocal manoeuvres hits us hard with that nostalgic party-starting feeling.
It’s an exciting time for the Roska camp right now, with his behind the scenes work also featuring production in a more dancehall-styled spectrum, featuring as the producer on both Frisco’s ‘Money Call’ and ’Trouble, Trubble, Chubble’ from Big Zeeks. With all these different elements in play, it’s safe to say the future is looking extremely exciting for both RKS & the main man himself!
