The last few months have been an incredibly busy time for the RKS gang, with our need to showcase the best new underground electronic flavours feeling stronger than ever. Moving into release number 137, we are thrilled to welcome back the collaborative spirit as our very own Roska returns alongside the legendary MC GQ.

Right from the jump this one is an eye opening collaboration, as two different genre-favourites join forces for a certified system stomper. MC GQ is of course known primarily for his outstanding vocal contributions to the drum & bass world, so to hear him lay down a vocal of this magnitude in a seemingly new realm is extremely exciting for both our loyal listenership and us as a label.

On Roska’s side, Roska does what Roska does best and delivers a scintillatingly groovy combination of vibrant percussive expression and system-testing sub pressure, providing the perfect base point for GQ to provide a very tidy vocal performance. It seems like this was in fact a combination waiting patiently to explode, which as we can hear, has yielded a fantastic original creation, perfect for the late night ravers to throw down one final skip to.

My whole body agrees with the pace of this short but solid track list. A generous helping of acoustic rhythm samples ignited by breakbeats add extra attention to full range movement on the dancefloor. Not a beat wasted. cherub420
